Our retail brands have a combined national market share of around 20% of end-user electricity sales.
 

Our largest brand, Mercury Energy, accounts for over 90% of our sales. It is the longest-established retail electricity brand in New Zealand and today has a major national presence with more than 370,000 customers.

Our smaller retail brands specialise in targeting niche markets; inner-city apartments (Bosco Connect), prepay energy (GLO-BUG) and provincial towns (Tiny Mighty Power).

We’re leading the way in retail product innovation and customer engagement, including the launch of a three-year fixed-price offer for residential customers in 2011.

Our metering business, Metrix, is deploying smart meters and growing the smart grid in the Auckland region.
