Mighty River Power Signs Lease on New Hamilton Office

03 April 2012
After a multi-year process, Mighty River Power has signed a 15 year lease with Project Grantham Ltd to relocate its 135 Hamilton based employees to new premises at 21 Grantham Street, Hamilton.

Relocation is expected to take place in early 2014.  Mighty River Power will have sole occupancy of the top two levels of the building along with a basement level for parking and storage facilities.

Mighty River Power’s GM Operations, Fraser Whineray, said the new office would be modern and efficient and demonstrated the Company’s long term commitment to its people, their environment and long-term business performance.  The location signified the importance of a strong presence in the Waikato and its quality labour market, and it reflects a focus on the Waikato River.

Mr Whineray said the Company had worked alongside the developer on design aspects to ensure the new building would be configured with flexibility and efficiency for optimal work facilities to meet the needs of Mighty River Power’s business, now and into the future.

The new building will bring Mighty River Power closer to both the civic and business communities of Hamilton and will provide employees with direct access to the city’s river environs and public transport system.
Staff will remain at Mighty River Power’s current premises at Peachgrove Road until the new premises are available.
